Marmaris-Turkey.com: What is Blue Cruise?
Blue Cruise (or Blue Voyage) is very simply means: Sailing around the Turkish Coastline (Aegean and the Mediterranean) and some Greek Isles with a "Gulet" (or "Goulette"). Gulets are tradinionally handmade wooden motor sailors (boats) made by master craftsmen. Historically they were used for fishing and trading. Today those vessels are redesigned for tourism industry and are ideal for a very relaxing, sailing charter holiday. They are a swimming hotel with from 3 to 10 cabins ( rooms ) very delightfully designed.
They are very comfortable and roomy with almost everything you need during your charter. Front (foredecks) and sometimes top of the Gulet are great for sun-bathing. Back of the vessel (aft-decks) provide a place to hang out in the shade decorated with big cusions for seating. Dining table is also located here to dine and play. Because they have wide hull ( body ) design cabins are spacious and high. Learn more about Gulets and their history...

Two Ways to Charter a Gulet - Privately for your group or Cabin Charter
* When you Charter a Gulet Privately, It is only for you, for your family and friends. It is only occupied and all amenities are used by your group, people who you want to be with and have fun. You chose any itninerary you like and you can stop in any beach, bay, cove or town you want to. It is your own swimming hotel.
The crew is also on the boat with you all to navigate and sail, cook, serve and pamper you, clean and make sure evything is in order with the whole charter. In all of our boats crew has their own quarter for sleeping and sanitation.
When you book your Private Charter Gulet or before you board you can decide about which itinerary you would want to take. You can board or leave the boat in any harbour. Marmaris being the most popular resort to board/embark, you can chose between Bodrum, Gocek, Fethiye and Antalya.
* Cabin Charter is just renting a Cabin on a weekly scheduled Gulets. If you just need a cabin or two and want to make new friends then this option would be ideal for you. The only difference from Private Cabin Charter is you dont know who the other people would be on the Gulet and itinerary will be fixed with some flexibility of the people on the boat.
More about Gulets
Gulets are all made of quality wood. Once used as trade and fishing boats in ancient times, they are now evolved into charter boats with fittings and equipment designed for guest's comfort. They rely on powerful engines to move between anchorages. Sometimes sails are used on promising winds.
There is a saloon and bar area with books, CDs and a Hi-Fi system for your entertainment.
All of our gulets's cabins have double or twin berth (beds) with en-suite shower, basin and WC. Some also has an upeer single bunk. Cabins are light and airy and have opening port holes with sea view :). Most boats have A/C as well.
All gullets have fridges, freezers & ice-boxes. Fresh water and fuel tanks are large that would allow you to stay on board away from busy ports for days so that you can enjoy your cruise.
Gulets range in size. For private charter groups we have exclusively selected boats from 3 to 10 cabins holding 4 to 20 people. All of our crew (captain, cook and a few deckhands) on the boats are very experienced at handling the boat and catering to your needs.
Daily Life on a Gulet
Most of the time you will be anchored at a gorgeous cove and you will be either sunbathing, snorkeling, swimming, dining, reading, playing, wind-surfing, fishing, water-skiing etc ... But when all these combined with other guests and crew on the boat that creates closenes, friendship, fun creates a very warm atmosphere. This is not like a cruise ship sailing. Being with a small group and being close to the bay and living the nature is extremely priceless. It is a very casual and relaxed environment.
The Gulet only moves from one cove to the next for 3-4 hours a day while you are either sleeping or relaxing. Once anchored in a cove, you can go trekking the mountaind full with olive trees and herbs, visit a nearby village and meet real local people, enjoy historical venues. The crew will always be around you to make sure you are having fun and taken care of.
Meals and your cook
There is not much to say here. Turkish cuisine is one of the best in the world. Since your crew includes a cook, you have your private chef. He will be creating unforgettable tastes from Turkish cuisine for you. If you would like to read more about Turkish Food visit www.turkishcook.com
If you have booked a private charter you have an option to either book with Full Board, or Half board. If you want to cook your own food you can. You can do your shopping with the crew's help and cook for yourselves.
